Refund a Membership or other Payment
Refund a Membership or other Payment

If you have collected a payment via Stripe, you can issue a full refund from within TidyHQ.

  1. View the transactions at Finances > Transactions.

  2. From the Actions menu (on the right hand side), select Refund.

    1. The information about the transaction will appear in a popup box.

    2. Select a reason for the refund

    3. Select the Refund button to refund the amount paid.

Note: Stripe refunds the amount minus their fees. TidyHQ will still refund the TidyHQ portion of the transaction fees to the customer.

If your Contact has paid via other means you will need to refund them manually.

NOTE ON REFUNDING MEMBERSHIP FEES!

If you are refunding a membership due to cancellation, don't forget to also Cancel one of their Memberships.

Navigate to Memberships > Reports

  • Click on the Number next to the relevant Membership and click the Cancel button on the right side of the subscription details.
