Step-by-step guide to updating contact details and social media links in TidyHQ, ensuring your organisation is easily reachable.

Add contact details and social media accounts so people know where to find you.


Once you've created your TidyHQ account, you should enter more details about your organisation so people know where to find you.

Go to Organisation Settings > Organisation Details.

Some of these fields will be pre-populated based on the details provided in the sign-up form when your organisation's account was created.

  1. TidyHQ Domain - this field has the name that goes at the beginning of your TidyHQ website address (ie. yourorganisation.tidyhq.com). It is the address you will direct people to when using the platform to sell memberships, tickets to events, buy things from your shop, etc. It is automatically populated when your account is created, however it can be changed at any time, given that the domain is available and not in use by another TidyHQ organisation.

  2. Exclude from TidyHQ discovery? - When this box is unchecked, other organisations can find your club for the purpose of connecting organisations (e.g. Enterprise Connections, Sharing projects and more). This is useful if your organisation is part of a state or national body that also uses TidyHQ. Check this box to prevent other organisations from finding and discovering your organisation for this purpose.

  3. Organisation Name - public name of your organisation.

  4. Short Name - shortened name used for SMS messages, which is limited to 11 characters (a telco limitation)

  5. Organisation Email - best contact email address for members of the public to contact you. If this is left blank, a TidyHQ email address will be created for you that will automatically direct to the organisation owner email address.

  6. Mailing Address - the address used on invoices and membership reports. You also have the option to display this address on your Contact Us page.

  7. Address - physical address of your organisation. Will automatically be displayed on the footer of your public-facing Web Page.

  8. Contact Number - the best phone number to contact your organisation. Will automatically be published on your Contact Us page.

  9. Website - if your club hosts another website that is not run via TidyHQ, you can put it's address here and it will appear as a link on the footer of your public-facing Web Page.

  10. Social media links - put the addresses of the various social media accounts your organisation may have here, and they will appear as links on the footer of your public-facing Web Page.

Once you've entered information into the relevant fields, don't forget to click Save before navigating away from this screen!
