πŸ” Getting Started

You’ll find this feature under Memberships > Analytics

From here, you can:

  • Filter by Membership Level

  • Choose a date range

  • Export the data as a CSV for further analysis

πŸ‘₯ Memberships Summary

Track how your member base is changing each month.

Metrics:

  • Members Gained – Number of members who started one of the selected memberships during the selected period.

  • Total Members – Count of members with at least one of the selected memberships active at any point in the period.

  • Average Revenue per Member – Total revenue divided by paying members (excludes free memberships).

  • Lifetime Revenue – Total revenue from all memberships.

πŸ“Š The chart shows monthly membership activity:

  • 🟩 New – First-time active members that month

  • 🟦 Existing – Ongoing active members

  • πŸŸ₯ Churn – Members whose memberships ended and weren’t renewed

Note: Membership billing cycles (e.g. monthly, annual) are normalised to a monthly basis to ensure fair comparisons across all memberships.

πŸ’Έ Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)

Keep track of your income from memberships over time with clear visibility into recurring revenue.

Metrics:

  • MRR Growth – Change in Monthly Recurring Revenue between the first and last month of the selected period.

  • Average MRR – Average MRR across all months in the selected period.

The chart categorises revenue each month into:

  • 🟩 New – Revenue from newly joined members

  • 🟦 Existing – Ongoing recurring revenue

  • πŸŸ₯ Churn – Revenue lost from members who did not renew

Note: MRR is normalised. For example, a $120 annual membership is displayed as $10 MRR per month.

βš™οΈ Assumptions and Behaviour

To keep things consistent and reliable, some assumptions have been made:

  1. Cancelled memberships are excluded
If a membership is cancelled, it won’t appear in the dataset, even if it was active in a previous query. This means you may see slight differences in historical data if a member cancels after the fact.

  2. Billing and period changes are handled historically

    • If a membership's price changes, analytics will reflect the price at the time of the transaction, based on records from the Finances module.

    • If a membership's duration changes, this won’t affect charts. Historical data is based on what was originally purchased by the member.

These decisions are designed to keep historical data stable and reflect what actually happened at the time.
