Updated over a week ago

Creating a Meeting Template

Navigate to Meetings App

  • From your TidyHQ dashboard, select Meetings from the left-hand menu.

Create a New Meeting Template

  • Click Templates and click New Template

  • Fill in the Title (you can leave date/time blank or set placeholders).

Build Your Agenda

  • Add Agenda Items by clicking Add Agenda Item.

  • You can include:

    • Standard meeting openers (e.g. “Welcome & Apologies”)

    • Reports (e.g. “Treasurer’s Report”)

    • General business

    • Next meeting details

💡 Tip: Attach files or add notes so each item has supporting documents ready.

Save as Template

  • Once your agenda is built, click More Options (⋮ menu).

  • Select Save as Template.

  • Give your template a clear name (e.g. “AGM Template” or “Monthly Committee Meeting”)

Note: If you're an Enterprise organisation, you have the ability to share templates with your connected organisations.

Use a Meeting Template

When creating a New Meeting, you'll be prompted to either start with a blank meeting or start with a template.

When choosing to use a template, you'll have a list of all available templates to choose from, including any shared from a peak body.

Click Use Template for your chosen option, and a pre-filled new meeting will be created for you to finalise.

Edit a Meeting Template

Navigate to Meetings > Templates.

  • Find your template in the list

  • Click the View button to edit the meeting, and then the triangle (more actions) to Duplicate.

If you have a peak body, they may have shared some templates with you.

  • Click the triangle in the template's actions, then Duplicate to create a local copy of the template which you can then modify further.

Duplicate an Existing Meeting as a Template

If you've created a Meeting and realised it could be a template, you can now copy this meeting to your template by following these steps:

  • Navigate to the required meeting and click View Details

  • Click the dropdown arrow and select Copy as Template

  • Give your template a clear name (e.g. “AGM Template” or “Monthly Committee Meeting”) and save.

Sharing a Template

Peak bodies can share any template to all connected organisations:

  • Navigate to Meetings > Templates and then View the template

  • Click the dropdown arrow and select Share, then confirm.

  • A green Shared icon will appear next to "Use Template" and in the template list under Sharing Status.

Templates can also be unshared using the same process. Any existing meetings which a connected organisation has created from a shared template will not be impacted.
