Want to create Project Templates for ongoing projects? Find out more here

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Projects App in Tidy allows organisations to create template projects for their administrators to complete. Templates is a great idea for those reoccurring projects, whether their internal or connected.

For example as a Peak Body: You have Annual Governance Checklist that has the same required tasks, simply create a template and copy it whenever you're ready.

For example as a Connected Organisation: You have an annual preparation for a season event or you're onboarding a new director that has the same required tasks, simply create a template and copy it whenever you're ready.

See below for how to use templates projects:

Creating a Template Project

Go to Projects > New Project.

Choose Template project from the check box under "New Project"

Give your project a title leave the description blank. Click "Create Project" and start adding in your tasks by following this guide: Creating tasks within a project

Once the tasks have been added to your template. Click save and go back to the Project's page. You will see the project sitting in a "Draft" Status

Note: This will only be visible to the owner of the template, it will not be visible for all admins within the organisation.

Using the template

To copy the project template, click into the template required and click the 'Copy as New Project'

From here, select if the project is for internal or connected. A new title can be created (example add in the clients name) and description about the project can be added along with the due date and any labels required.

Click Create Project and you will be redirected to the task page, check all the tasks are correct before finalising. Click Start Project and now the project is live. If it is a connected project, follow the guide Sharing a project to connected organisations and other administrators
