All Contacts Group for Emailing

The best way to generate Contact Groups is with a Smart Group. A smart group is a collection of Contacts based on some filter rules.

In this case, we are going to find all contacts that have an email and group them together.

Create a new Smart Group via Contacts > +New Smart Group:

Next, add a filter. Choose the Email filter:

Set the filter as follows: Email • Contains • @

Contains @ will ensure that we're finding folks with a 'valid' email.

We won't check email subscription status in this group, as those will be omitted at the sending stage anyway.

Give the group a title, such as All Email Contacts. You can add a further description if you like to help decipher it in the future.

Finally, hit Create Group to save.

Now you have a group you can use to email everyone (in your database) who has an email account. It will refresh automagically based on Contacts changing 🪄
