The best way to generate Contact Groups is with a Smart Group. A smart group is a collection of Contacts based on some filter rules.
In this case, we are going to find all contacts that have an email and group them together.
Head to Contacts and Advanced Filters
Now +Add Filter and select Email
Contains @ will ensure that we're finding folks with a 'valid' email (it's not going to check email subscription status)
Now save it as a Smart Group
Give the group a title, I have chosen All Email Contacts, you can add a further description if you like to help decipher it in the future.
Do not switch on 'Group Messaging' unless you're really sure you need the functionality - for most, it is definitely not required and can cause serious issues.
Now you have a group you can use to email everyone in your Contacts database that has an email account. It will refresh automagically based on Contact changing 🪄
