Tidy set-up : Step 5. Set up your Stripe account

You'll need a Stripe account connected before you can take payments in TidyHQ.

All payments taken via TidyHQ are processed using a payment gateway provider called Stripe. You will need to connect a Stripe account for your organisation to your TidyHQ account before you can take payments for memberships, event tickets, products sold in the Shop App, etc.

Note that if you don't want to take digital payments, you can always record cash transactions in the Finances App or offer your customers invoices.

Creating a Stripe Account

For more information on creating your Stripe account, check out their very handy and easy to understand Help File or to find out if Stripe is available in your country.

Once you've got your Stripe account ready to roll, simply go to Organisation Settings > Payment Settings > Stripe Payments.

From here, click the big blue Connect with Stripe button and you're redirected to the Stripe site to finalise the connection.

If you've already got a Stripe account set up, use your usual Stripe login email address and follow the prompts.

What does the Stripe set up look like to the public?

The other benefit of Stripe + TidyHQ is that it's completely integrated into the checkout process. This means your members or guests will be able to pay without being redirected to a third party. They'll be able to see their purchase total and pay by card completely within your TidyHQ site.
