Finding Active and Expired Members easily

Being able to communicate to those that haven't renewed their membership is important. Here's how you can do it quickly using Smart Groups!

Updated over 11 months ago

The quickest way for you to view Active and Expired members is by clicking on Memberships. You will then see your Memberships Summary with all your membership levels setup, displaying your Active and Expired Members.

The Memberships Overview shows how many Active and Expired Members you have in all your Membership Levels.

Using Smart Groups to create dynamic lists

We make it easy with Smart Groups. Head to Contacts > New Smart Group and create a Smart Group to create a list to your requirements.

  • Active Members: Contains Contacts who hold any current Active Membership

  • Expired Members: This smart group contains Contacts that no longer hold an Active Membership. If a Contact holds both an Expired Membership as well as an Active Membership they will not appear in this group. 👷‍♂️

  • Partial Members: when a contact has an outstanding membership (usually up for renewal)...and even:

  • Cancelled Memberships: Membership has been cancelled before expiry date

You can refine your Smart Group using Filters:

The resulting Smart Group can then be used for sending Emails or SMS messaging (or just getting numbers for reports).
