Logging in for the first time

Guide for first-time TidyHQ logins: Click 'Log In', create an account, agree to terms, and choose your organisation.

To log in for the very first time, click on the Log In button at top right of your screen.

Note: this sets up a user account, but does not register you for membership with the organisation.

Enter your email address and click Continue. You might be asked to solve a CAPTCHA.

Creating an Account

Since this is the first time you're logging in, you probably won't have an account yet.
In that case, please click Create An Account:

Enter your name...

Confirm your details, accept the Terms and Conditions, and click Create Account.

๐ŸŽ‰ You will now be logged in to your organisation's website!

If you've just created your account, you'll also receive an email that looks like this:

Accessing the Member Portal

When you're logged in, your initials will appear in the top-right corner. Click your initials to access some controls:

  • Admin Dashboard (if you're an admin for this organisation).

  • Contact Profile for your member portal

  • TidyHQ Account Settings to manage your user email, passkeys and password

  • The option to log out.

Now, click on Contact Profile to access the member portal.

You may need to first either verify your email or else connect your account to your organisation.

If you need to verify your email, you'll get a "Restricted Access" screen.
Click "Login via email code".


We'll send you an email with a single-use code. When you get it, paste it in the prompt and click Sign in. You've got about 10 minutes to use the code before it expires. If it does, just request another.

If your email's previously been verified, you'll be prompted to connect your account to this organisation. (This can happen if you created your account and then logged out right away before clicking Contact Profile, and have only now logged back in.)
โ€‹

Once you see a page that looks like this, you're in the member portal, where you can update your details, manage your memberships, check out upcoming events, tasks & meetings, and review transactions.

Note: Your Contact Email (which is what your organisation will use to send you news, invoices, tickets etc) can be different to your user account email (which you log in with). You can change your login email in TidyHQ Account Settings.

Logging in again

Did you notice that you never needed to set a password?

When you next log in, we'll email you a one-time code. You've got about 10 minutes to use it before it expires. If it does, don't worry - just request another code. To keep them distinct, we've colourised them.
โ€‹

Note: A code is only usable with the same log-in prompt which requested it.

Once you've used a code, you can safely delete that email from your inbox.


If your account is an administrator for one or more organisations, you'll be prompted to create a Passkey.
