Xero Integration

Connect your Xero account and sync transactions

Note: This app is currently in beta testing and is only available to select organisations. If you would like early access, please reach out to our Support Team.

In this article:


Initial Setup

1. Go to Apps > Xero > Add App:

2. Once the app has been added, click on Authorise Xero to proceed with connecting your Xero account:

3. Map your TidyHQ financial data to your Xero account categories:

4. Click Update Account Mapping to finalise your selections.


Syncing Transactions

Once you have completed the initial setup, you can begin to sync your TidyHQ transactions to Xero.

1. Go to Finances > Sync to Xero:

2. This will bring you back to the Xero app page, which provides a preview of the data to be synced, aggregated by category. Click Sync.

Note: You will need trigger syncing in your TidyHQ account each time you wish to push through transactions to Xero. This does not happen automatically.

The table at the bottom provides an activity feed of all previous syncs.


Reconciliation

Synced transactions will come through to Xero in a batch, aggregated by category.


1. From the list of Syncs, click the Xero Invoice Reference link to open the invoice in Xero. You will see each invoice lists the associated TidyHQ transactions.


2. The invoice comes across to Xero as a draft. Approve the invoice and mark as paid.
