I can't log in! How do I get back into my account?

Here's how to get back into TidyHQ using a one-time email code or Passkey.

No stress. There's nothing to reset. TidyHQ is moving away from passwords in favour of one-time email codes and Passkeys, so getting back in is straightforward.

How to get back in

The steps depend on how your account is set up:

If you have a password but can't remember it: click Log In, enter your email, then click Try Another Way and choose Enter a code sent to your email. A one-time code will land in your inbox — it's colour-coded to make it easy to spot. Enter it at the prompt (or just click the button to follow the magic link).

If you have a Passkey (Face ID, Touch ID, or device PIN): click Log In, enter your email, and follow the prompt on your device. Passkeys are synced via iCloud or Google, so they work across your devices automatically.

If you don't have a password or Passkey set: enter your email and click Continue — a code will be sent to you right away, no extra steps needed.

Codes (and magic links) are valid for 30 minutes. If yours expires, you can request a new one — just note there's a 2-minute cooldown between requests.

Can't find the code email?

Check your Junk or Spam folder — it occasionally ends up there.

Also make sure you're using the right email address. Your TidyHQ login email (the one you sign in with) may be different from your contact email (the one your organisation uses to send you newsletters and invoices). If you're not sure which one you used, your organisation's administrator can look it up.

Want easier logins going forward?

Once you're in, consider setting up a Passkey — it's more secure than a password (it can never be entered into the wrong website) and takes about 30 seconds to set up. Head to TidyHQ Account Settings from the top-right menu to get started.

While you're there, you can also delete your old password — since you'll be using codes or a Passkey going forward, there's no reason to keep it around.
