How to Send an SMS in TidyHQ

SMS Messaging is proven to have a greater engagement rate than most other forms of communication, like emails and phone calls. So if you need to get communication out as quickly and painlessly as possible? Good news! SMS (text) messaging is available in TidyHQ.

Important Note: In order to reduce and/or abate potential abuse by Scammers, SMS Functionality is No Longer Available by default. Please contact our Support Team by email to info@tidyhq.com to enable your Organisations SMS Tools.

To get started, you'll need to add some credit to your SMS Balance in the Billing area.

Please Note: SMS Messages are not included in any of the TidyHQ Plans, and all charges are in addition to your monthly charges.

When you have an SMS Balance, you can send an SMS message to your Contacts, go to Communicate > New SMS

You can add a Group and/or Individual Contacts and it will estimate the cost of each message. Estimates are based on a number of factors, including number of characters, destination country.

The pricing for messages in Australia is $0.061 per SMS at the time of writing this article. For the purposes of this pricing amount, an SMS is 160 characters in length. Any message(s) longer than 160 characters will count as multiple messages in the pricing calculation.

Pricing in other countries may vary, and the price of each message sent may change from time to time.

Update: You can now send Emojis in your SMS, however each emoji is worth 4 characters to your character count.

Add your message. You can enter a custom version of your Organisation in the "From" field (if you wish).

You can schedule the message to be sent at a specific date & time.

Select Verify Message to check recipients, cost and message text. If required, you can Edit the message or just Confirm & Send to send the message.

View your SMS in Sent Messages area of Communicate. If you wish to double check the content, you can Open the message and, if it's scheduled in the future (that is, not sent yet) you can cancel the message.
