Welcome to our guide on integrating TidyHQ and Discord with Zapier, so that Discord messages are sent for whenever a ticket is purchased for an event.

Log in to Zapier and click on the Create Zap button.

Choose TidyHQ as your Trigger and select the Event Ticket Pack Activated event. Connect your TidyHQ account if you haven't already.

Test the trigger step and continue with the latest record.

After setting your trigger, it's time to add an Action. Choose Discord as your action app.

Select the Send Channel Message action, and add Zapier to your Discord server if needed.

For the message text, we’ll search for the data we want from the Trigger step with TidyHQ. For example, let’s get the number of tickets purchased by searching for ‘attendees quantity’ and selecting the Data Attendees Quantity option.

A combination of the fields from TidyHQ and regular text can be used to create a message that looks like the following:

Test the Discord action step to ensure that the message is in a format you are happy with. When you're ready, turn your Zap on, then whenever tickets are purchased, you will be notified in a Discord channel.

Discord allows using markdown to format messages, which we can also take advantage of in the zap. Links can be inserted with this general format [text that shows](the link). This means that we can add links to the tickets, event page and the buyer! Below is an example:

Note that the domain prefix is included in the contact link so that the zap can be duplicated and used for more than one organisation if desired.
