Join your organisation as a member

How to find your organisation's membership page, choose a level, and complete your registration in TidyHQ.

Joining your organisation through TidyHQ takes just a few minutes. Here's what to expect from start to finish.

Are you renewing an existing membership? If so, please follow this article instead: Renewing Your Membership.

Find your organisation's memberships page

Head to your organisation's TidyHQ website and click Memberships in the navigation menu. If you don't see it, the organisation may not currently have any open membership levels, or their memberships page may not be set to public — contact the organisation directly if you're not sure.

Choose a membership level

You'll see the membership levels available to join, each showing the name, price, and a description. Click Register on the level you'd like.

Some levels may be restricted — for example, a renewal rate only available to existing members. If you can't see the level you're looking for, try logging in first. (See also Renewing Your Membership.)

If you don't have a login, or you still can't see your desired level, contact the organisation directly.

On the following page, you'll see the membership description with some more details. Click Register again to proceed.

Log in or create your account

You'll need a TidyHQ account to complete your registration. If you already have one, log in. If not, you'll be prompted to create one.

Fill in your details

The registration form will ask for your contact details. Depending on how the organisation has set things up, there may also be additional fields — things like an emergency contact, a registration number, whether you'd like to volunteer, and so on.

Fill these in and click Next.

Membership Agreement (Waiver)

For some memberships you might be asked to agree to a membership agreement (typically a waiver).

TidyHQ stores the exact text of the agreement against your membership record, so if it's later updated for your membership level, everyone can be sure what it is you agreed to and when.

Check the box to agree and click Next to continue.

Complete checkout

At checkout you'll see the total amount due and the available payment options:

  • Credit or debit card — payment is processed immediately and your membership is activated straight away.

  • Invoice — you'll receive an invoice by email and your membership will be activated once payment is received. (Note: your organisation might not offer invoice at checkout for your membership level.)

If the membership is free, there's no payment step — you'll go straight to confirmation.

If the organisation has auto-renew enabled for this membership level, you'll see an option to turn it on at checkout. This means your card is automatically charged at renewal time so you don't have to do it manually. You can turn this off any time from your member portal — see How do I opt out of an auto-renewing membership?

What happens next

Once your registration is complete, you'll receive a welcome email from your organisation. Your membership will appear in your member portal under Memberships, where you can check your status and expiry date.

If you've chosen to pay via invoice, your membership will show as Pending until your invoice is marked off as fully paid.
