How to help potential members who want to join your organisation through TidyHQ.

Updated over 10 months ago

Getting new members to join your organisation via TidyHQ is simple.

To sign up

Direct them to your TidyHQ website - you can find the address of this website by going to Organisation Settings > Organisation Details then looking at the 'TidyHQ domain' field. The full website address will be https://(your TidyHQ domain).tidyhq.com

Provided you have your Membership Levels set to 'Public' visibility, and you have connected your Stripe account as a payment method, the potential member should be able to see "Memberships" in the menu of your website.

From there, they can select the Membership they want to purchase, complete the fields you have set up in the Membership Level, such as their name & email address etc. If you have turned on a Waiver for your Membership Level, the potential member will need to tick the box that means they agree to accept the waiver conditions. They will then be taken to a payment screen to complete their payment.

Once payment has been received, the new member will receive your Welcome Message via email, as well as an email asking them to validate their TidyHQ account (if they are not already a member with another organisation that uses TidyHQ).

Once they've become a member, where do they go to find their account information?

When a Member logs in, they'll be able to see all their details at a glance, including their Schedule, Memberships, Transactions and their personal information.
Note: A Member cannot see any other contact's details via their profile.

Once logged in, the following options are available:

1. Profile

The Member's information is presented as Contact Details, Custom Fields and the remainder of the Profile (optional) data.

The Member can easily update their details, such as address etc.

Note that as an Admin, the ability of members to be able to update Custom Fields can be managed.

2. Schedule

In the Member's schedule, they can see any Meetings and Events they have nominated to attend.

3. Memberships

The Member can view, and if appropriate, renew their Membership or select further Membership Levels (if available).

4. Transactions

The Member may also view their Transactions and payments (for Events, Membership etc), view receipts and even update their Credit Card details (optional).
